This whole thread need an "Easy Boys!"  ;D

That said, what do you mean "getting their knob out"? I ride in the rain all the time. Between PR4 tires and KTRC, I think this bike does quite well in the rain. But I take it very easy when the roads are less then ideal.

Yeah, they can be slippery. I do not have any problems though as I always wear gloves (mesh for summer riding).

Some people have stippled or scored the sides of the knob so they can get a better grip on it in the first place. I mean what has this world come to if a man cannot get a grip on his own knob?

Rhino is right, this entire thread needs an Easy Boys! but banner sized. :-)

WHich is fine except when you come back and your gloves are in the panniers along with your helmet :)

Fortunately I've a cloth in my tank pocket now just in case so I can wipe the knob down first

Yes I did. I cut grooves with a dremel in my stove knob so I get a better grip. No problems now.

You can roughen it, you can cut slots in it or you can also drill a hole through it and put some kind of ring or stud through the hole.

A HUGE Easy Boys! on that one.....

I used to take mine out, but every time I did I got bad luck.  I haven't taken it out in years.

Yeah, I have heard removing the stove knob key is 'bad juju'. Then again, I also heard there were aliens who landed in New Mexico and that Marilyn Manson (sp?) is the person who played the side- kick on 'The Wonder Years' all those years ago. Gots' ta' be careful whats' ya' believes in in dis here world 'cause ifn' ya' ain't careful, the carpet behind ya' will fill up with salt.

Um... OK.  What else would one remove it for?

I use a cheap spare key for all that!
