I'm surprised they aren't going to try to total it.

I'm kinda there with you. But looks like they'll just be covering the repairs. I think book value is about $1k more than the repairs at this point. If it were me, the fairings and everything else would stay, but there's small scratches on those and the mirror and I'm not complaining!

Found out from the PO that its a full Area P, so getting a quieter exhaust it out the window... the Area P is larger diameter than stock and no other slip on would fit. I think that's also why people on the forum were saying that Area P isn't loud.... the slip on is noticeably quieter lol.

Pretty pleased that I'll be getting my baby back in a reasonable amount of time tho. My insurance pulled through and it's been good dealing with Ultimate. Made it out there after work and was able to chat with the guy in charge of the service dept and take a look at the bike, and they seem like good people.

I'd be surprised if they didn't total it. Even if the repairs were significantly less expensive than the motorcycle's value, there are huge liability issues with repairing motorcycles. That, and insurance companies can typically sell "lightly" totaled vehicles for a few grand.
