Got home from my extended ride after the National and cleaned all the bugs off. I had no idea that 3578 miles of riding in 1 week would equal just about the same number of bugs, or one per mile.

Installed a Michelin Commander II on the rear in the middle of my trip to replace the Avon Venom that crapped out early. It developed an inch and a half long crack in a groove and an adjacent flat spot. Done(again) with Avons.

PS. So far I really like this Commander II over the Avon. Rides smoother, powers out of corners with a lot more stability than that crap Avon used to. $40 cheaper, also.

Took her top off so the front fairing mount can be "prontoized" because I don't want any surprises 1,200 miles away from home.

1: I installed a couple of these of on my tip over bars http://www.piaa.com/powersports-lamps/ps-led-lp530.html SWEET!
2: Pulled the Genmar peg lowering brackets and replaced with Murph's from parts bike. I like the position way better so far.
3: Pulled the Rifle off the parts bike installed it on DD to replace (beat to DEATH) stocker. I trimmed it to be about 1.5" taller than stocker. I cut off at least 4-5" PO was Amazonian I guess... I love it!!!!!! less back pressure and less buffering, not to mention if I have to look like t for any reason it's optically a MILLION times better than the stocker..
4: Pulled the Baker Air Wings off the parts bike and installed on DD. Not crazy about the look but that protect or pull air in. All good!
5: Mounted Gopro mount to the side fairing.
6: I ordered Dynabeads to balance front wheel. I hit a train track this week and there was a 1 foot square piece of asphalt missing next to the rail.... :yikes:
7: Came home sat down and wrote this..... ;D
8: Tomorrow I head to the Adirondacks to see if find a corner or two!!!
9: Goodnight

Just getting around to posting.  I help her loose some weight.  I threw a rod on her on Sunday the 24th in the middle of NC.  Lost some aluminum and oil on the highway.  Got her home by midnight on a trailer.  Anyone have a good motor within a few hundred miles of northern VA?

Installed new throttle cables. This is one job I really do not want to do on the side of the road. Ugly. Plus the cruise control cable was it's normal fun.

Going to install a Murph Forkbrace on my 06 and figure out what is wrong with the hardwire connection for my Garmin (it keeps rebooting).
Also going to look at getting new tires; thinking of a PR3 in front and AV46 in back.
I'm stuck at the office and dreamily looking out the window wishing I were riding my beautiful blue beast...

Today on my '86 I installed 2 12v accessory plugs 1 on the dash and 1 under the seat where someone had previously had wires run for possible the same thing. I also put on my new seat that I bought off of e bay. The factory seat cover had been repaired once already and was torn again, So instead of recovering it I put one from a 200 on it. I am very happy I did. It looks better and feels good.   :D  O I almost forgot I also received my Go Cruise this week, I put it on and tested it. Works very good for the simplicity of it.

My 95' Connie is naked right now.  In the middle of a major paint job.  Today I replaced the fork seals, then I replaced the dash lights with LED's, blue for middle section and replaced the yellow with yellow led's.  Put a green led in the clock.  Replaced the final drive oil, changed the clutch fluid, and lastly I flushed the radiator.
