Gotta love a come back!! I have to admit that I too started thinking 93 was unbeatable. Also great to see some competition from Ducati. I like Marquez and Honda but more competition is great for the sport.
Truthfully, if Marquez hadn't been sidelined to the rear early on, he wouldn't have been first, but he would have been second to none. I like it when the races are close and no one runs away with it at any one time.
I'm thining, and hoping, it's going to be a great season with lots of close racing. Hard to bet against Marquez these days, but it sure is nice when the "old guy" shows them how it's done.
The rain held off for MotoGP qualifying yesterday at COTA and Marc Marquez proved why he is the reigning world champion. With 4 minutes left in qualifying, he is running 7th in time and his bike breaks down on start/finish line. He pulls over to the wall separating the track from pit lane, hops the wall, sprints down to his pit and second bike, hops on and with time for only 1 lap, sets the track record and snags pole position. The kid is unreal. Dovizioso on Ducati snags 2nd with Lorenzo and Rossi 3rd and 4th on Yamaha. If the rain will hold off, should be a great race today!
Excellent race yesterday! Once Marquez got in the lead and ran away with it again this year. But Rossi and Lorenzo battled the Ducati's for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. In the end Rossi got 3rd but 46 on the podium 2 weeks in a row and the podium represented by 3 different manufactures. Should be a good season.
