My new ride
« on: January 26, 2015, 05:39:06 PM »
It's been killing me keeping this under my hat for over a week! I waited until my friend Chris received a package from me with a gift from my old bike (My old Heli bars that he powder coated). I traded my old '06 Concours for a newer '12 Concours 1400. Kathy found it for me and we bought it to celebrate the completion of my chemo. We bought it in Johnson city at the dealer who sponsored the '14 rally.
'12 C-14, Vance and Hines CS One muffler, lowered pegs, tank bra, bar risers, Phil's Farkles rack with Givi V46 top box, fender extender, Bucks tail brights, Canyon Cages and much more to come!

Congrats on two levels. Your new C14 and your personal fight!
Be sure to give us a good comparison review about the two Connies.
This C-14 is now my 14th bike currently...too many is never enough.

I'm still trying to figure out how they named that color "red". I love the color, but "root beer" or "metallic chestnut" seems like a better fit! I'm just realizing I need to change all of the info in my sig line!!

I'm still trying to figure out how they named that color "red".

It is the same ridiculousness as their naming the 2008 color "Neutron Silver", which is really a light blue (this is why you see the "Silverdamnit!!!" stuff in postings) ((the 2011 color "Atomic Silver" really is the only silver)).  Color naming is often comical.

Chestnut is close, but see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burgundy_%28color%29#Old_burgundy for a much better match.

Outstanding Blaise, that is GREAT to hear! And a big congratulations on the bike too (seriously- that is the lesser news IMO but still, good on both fronts).
