Fuzeblock wiring help
« on: November 13, 2014, 03:15:27 PM »
I received my Fuzeblock in the mail today. Looking at the instructions, it shows three terminals on the top of the unit. (+) from battery, (-) from battery and +12V trigger from vehicle. Where can I find one of these trigger or switched wires to tap into ?
Still undecided on where I am going to mount the Fuzeblock. I see that some put it under the tank, others under the seat in the "toolbox".

Would you rather remove the tank or the seat to wire your next appliance?

I believe you could use one of the accessory leads? Depending on where you are mounting the Fuzeblock, if it is up front there are some leads under the front left fairing panel, if you are mounting it under the seat, there are leads under the tool tray somewhere? Here is a link to Fred Harmon's photos showing the locations:

Mount it where you can get at it easily. Mine is under the black fairing on the left side top. There is a switched lead in the big rubber boot there. Can't remember which one. I think it is just a wire with an end on it not connected to anything.

On my 08 C14 I had the Fuzeblock mounted under the left hand dash panel on top of the air duct. On my 2010 C14, I mounted the Fuzeblock in the toolbox under the seat....but I did have to butcher the toolbox to do so (NBD).

Both times I used one of 12vdc+ accessory wires for my bike-on power. I was already using the accessory connectors/leads for my Rostra CC anyway, so I simply used a double male spade terminal to add the second wire.
