While this is probably discriminatory, and very politically incorrect, I find it very factual and funny !!!

I saw this on the other forum and I will repeat it here again.

This is cruel and insensitive.  I challenge you to go visit with someone struggling with schizophrenia and come back and tell me how funny this is.

Do you think this thread should be locked because you don't find it funny?

One voice told me to ignore you, the other reminded me that I am never lonely as I always have someone to talk to.  The third voice was muffled, but I think it was saying something laced with profanity.  The rest of the voices were silent, I think they are taking a nap.

What I am trying to say is we all have voices in our head.  If someone close to you is affected in a bad way I am truly sorry for the agony they are experiencing and am in the high hopes that a bit of off colored humor may lighten the mood.  When I am in pain I find it better to joke about it rather than focus on the negative attitude.

You have offended me by insinuating that the OP has posted something "cruel and insensitive" when I don't think that was the intent at all.

If you didn't notice when you clicked on the link, this is the "Funny Pages", a place where posts are meant to bring about lightheartedness and laughter.

I think you may need to learn to laugh at yourself ... and do some work on trying to tell the difference between serious and silly.

There is a dangerous thing happening here and on the other forum. We used to be able to have a little fun every now and then by posting humerous things in the funny pages. Its called the funny pages for a reason. I am growing tired of seeing someone post something humorous just to see someone else come along and rain on their parade. I am to the point of blocking everything except
the wrenching section and the range.

Jim, I agree. We need a good dose of old time Arena for some of these folks.

Thanks G, its really getting out of hand. We used to have fun on here. I'm sick of this crap. And we not only need a good
dose of Arena, but mix it with a side order of thicker skin, and some tolerance for dessert.

I really don't want the Funny section turning into Arena material.  That never was the intent of this board.  If you feel the need to post something that you really know is Arena based then post it there.  If you want access to the Arena, let any of the mods or admins know and your wish will be granted.

As far as posting comments about something not funny, I see no issues with that.  They have as much right to do that as the ones thinking the thread is funny.  Personally I have to laugh as I prefer that to crying.

We haven't really clamped down on this section and there is no intent to do so in the future.  This forum is bit 'sharper' in nature than the other one and I'm not talking about the one in the UK.  I prefer it that way and as long as 'we' have anything to do with it, it will stay that way.

In order to keep this on topic.  I believe that I am affected by 1, 2, 4, 8 and 14.

Don't you DARE cut out the funny pages! Why should the 99% be affected by the 1%ers?!
Merry Christmas BTW!

It's almost enough to make you just shut up and color and avoid posting anything for fear that it'll instult/annoy/irritate/offend.  Being completely "Politically Correct" is a fantsy some people indulge in.  No matter what subject you're on, or what you say or how you say it, there's the potential for offense, however slight.

When I post in the Funny Pages, it's never my intent to insult or denigrate in any way, but for now, I won't let the potential for it stop me.

I appreciate the attitudes of the Mods and other users, thanks for y'all's efforts.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled tomfoolery.
