camelbak question
« on: June 10, 2011, 10:22:25 AM »
For those that use Camelbak, do most get the backpack style (and wear it) or just place the bladder within a tank bag?

I use the backpack but have been thinking about stowing the bladder in my tank bag.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

Back pack for me as well.  A little extra coolness on the back is nice.

I have the insulated bladder bag. A couple of straps across the seat and one at the foot peg mount hold it in place. I have velcro on my left pant leg that I slide the tube through so I can reach down a grab a drink whenever. Photo below. I had it in the same spot on my C10

Don't you get a lot of people staring at you when you grab your crotch and start sucking away?  ;D

[Honest, I tried to thing of a way to more delicately phrase this, but this is the image that stuck . . .]

Look at that bike with all the crap and add a guy in a Grey and reflective yellow areostich.

If started to worry about people staring I would never make it out of the driveway :D

For me it depends on the situation.  If it isn't too darned hot I wear a back pack.  If it is pretty hot, or if I'm going far, I just put a bladder in my tank bag.
