Smokin deal on front & rear lift stands
« on: November 02, 2013, 06:51:45 PM »
Venom motorcycle stands. You can pick them up on EBay or Amazon.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOTORCYCLE-BIKE-SWINGARM-PADDLE-FORK-FRONT-REAR-DUAL-LIFT-STANDS-COMBO-/171163945725?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item27da2a8afd

I was worried when both of them showed up in this little box.

Some assembly required obviously. I got them out of the box and put together in 15 minutes.
The front one works excellent.

The rear takes some finageling and it does not have a whole lot of leverage, but it works. My buddy is going to weld up a cheater bar for me.

There not Pit Bull stands by any means, but for $73 shipped and my bike feels rock solid when it's up on both stands ya can't beat'm.

Here come BLACK wheels.   ;D

I got a set a few years ago just like those, but it works with the rear spools, wish I had the paddle ones like that now.  They work great for a lot of jobs.

One comment:  If you get those, you can't pull the forks.  The ones that go under the triple tree allow you to drop the entire front end.  However, they don't usually sell those in the bargain sets.

I was curious if I should of got the set with the rear spools, but I think I would have a lot less leverage with those.

You are correct.

How much higher/lower is the rear tire on this lift when compared to the centerstand?  I use a K&L lower triple clamp lift for the front and it requires the rear tire to be off or else the bike can lever off of the centerstand.

I'd guess it is a 3 or 4 inches higher than the center stand.

Might be good to get the swingarm up on a stand before levering up the front end, rather than using the centerstand.
