Peg lowering

I'm considering lowering my pegs, I'm asking the forum which is better MCL or Murph's

I was wondering if those that lowered their pegs ever hit when leaning the bike in a turn?
I've hit just wearing size 12 engineer boots with stock pegs, which has kept me from lowering the rear

Tried them...didn't like them. Took 'em off and sold them.
Messed up the shifter, brake pedal, and I kept hitting them against my legs when walking the bike out of the garage. If you like 'em, that's great. Not for me though.

I'm six feet, 200lbs., 32" inseam. Guess taller guys might appreciate them more.

I have Murph's and love them. I didn't reposition the shifter because I actually like it a bit higher so I can keep my foot under it comfortably. I have to move my foot to down shift but I got used to it. Same with the brake. Foot fits under it nicely.

I can't compare the two, but I recently put on Murph's lower pegs and love them.  I'm 6'2" 34" inseam and they were exactly what I needed to reduce stress on my knees and some pressure on my backside.  It took a bit of adjusting to get the brake and shifter levers correct, but all in all it was only about 30 minutes of work, just don't be afraid to adjust them all the way to get what you like - you have to adjust them somewhat or it will be very difficult to shift / brake.

I also have size 12 boots and while I'll be the first to admit I'm not overly aggressive, I still lean far enough to barely have any untouched strips on the outside of my tires, and I've never hit my foot.  It may be I'm slightly pigeon toed so my feet naturally point in.  I didn't install the feelers from my stock pegs and I'm sure they would hit if I did. 

Like any mod, you'll either love it or not and it does take a bit to get used to.  I did bump them a few times like clogan, but after a week I got used to the new position and I don't even think about it anymore.

Or you can go with the Buell pegs. I love mine.

+1 on the Buell pegs.

Also the feeler pegs are higher off of the ground that the stock pegs feelers at the stock mounting location. So it's a win win!

There's a big difference between lowering the driver pegs and lowering the passenger pegs. Looks like some of you are talking about the former and others the latter.

    Sounds about right.   I had to lower the rear pegs for my wife but I'm on the stockers for me.

I have Buell p/n's N0502.1AK & N0503.1AK (silver) on my bike.
They are also available in black, p/n's N0502.4AK & N0503.4AK

I got mine from www.surdyke.com and they were around $75 for the pair plus shipping.

But on my sportier bikes i don't have to hear them DRagging the ground in the turns either, even with proper position (balls of feet on pegs)

I've tried all three of these but like the MCL lowering brackets the best. They keep my feet closer to the bike. I've only drug my shoe once but I don't lean aggressively either.

Yes, I have the murphs and I end up hitting a peg at least once every ride.  Tight turns will cause you to drag a bit.
