Mounted the G9 as far forward as possible w/o interferring with the slide mechanism using dual locking velcro that I bought at Target.
1st pic - slide mechanism in the 1/2 way down position
2nd pic - (with antenna up) slide mechanism all the way back, with visor is in the down position. In this position, getting a gloved finger behind the mechanism to raise the visor is a tight squeeze but doable.
The mic is approx 1/4" off center of my mouth, but I don't think it will be an issue picking up my voice.
SO/CFO says "it looks like a hood rat setup and I should just get the radio made for that helmet".
I told her the SRC System cost $399 and I already have the G9 Powerset.
FYI - I contacted Scala and they said "the SRC uses G4 technology". I like all the G9 features and until Scala makes improvements on the current SRC system, I'll just keep my G9, regardless of looking like a hood rat.
