ProjektD Main Body Sliders (C14)
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:00:06 PM »
Hi guys,

I got new sliders after my little "incident" last month.  My insurance ordered the entire kit instead of the $25 replacement Delrin end cap.  I dropped the bike, and it did it's job.  Just a little scratched on the plastic from where it hit the ground, but the metal part is PERFECT.  You can see the scratched part in the picture. You can always put the scratched part facing down if you don't want to replace it...

These cost $175 new, I'll take $100+$20 for shipping, or you're welcome to come pick them up at my office in Boynton Beach, FL.

You DO NOT have to remove the fairing to install, even though the instructions suggest you do.  I did it the hard way, then after it was all back together realized I put them on the wrong sides, and I was able to swap things out using a long socket extension and "care" not to scratch the fairing.

Here's the link to the ProjektD site for more info:  http://projektd.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_39_40&products_id=166

And here's the pic of what I'm selling:

How much damage did your handle bar, mirror and saddlebag suffer during your "incident"?

Handle bars: good
Mirror: good
Saddlebag: small scratch on bottom, because it was on an incline

I have the front and rear sliders as well. (Not for sale, but on the bike).

I actually laid the bike down very carefully to see if it completely protects, and it does.

Hope that helps.  :)
