rh upper motor mount bolt stuck
« on: June 08, 2013, 10:05:53 AM »
I decide to do the plugs on my 11 today and had to remove the motor mount bolts to remove the canyon cages.  I hand threaded the upper bolts back in about half way.  I am now trying to pull them back out and the right hand one is locked solid in the motor.  There is slack in all directions in the frame hole but the bolt still will not turn.  Any suggestions?

Use a jack under the engine to reduce force and use a breaker bar.  Before reinstalling the bolts clean the threads and.use a tap to clean the thread locker out.

Yeah something got caught in the threads and when I got the big bar out it took the threads out with the bolt.   Had to helicoil that one and clean up the bolt.
