I have lift stands for my Ninja.....but wondering what is the best way to lift the C-14 to work on it that is stable?

My sears stand does not work ala Goldwing...and the sport bike stands do not work for the gearbox in the rear....so other than a lift table, what is the best/easy way to lift it to remove rear tire...etc.?

Centerstand has worked for me since 2008.  If you care, some will strap the centerstand to the front tire to avoid the chance of the stand closing.
FWIW, I've had both tire off, used blocks of wood under the front to hold her up.

Centerstand.

If you need both wheels off, remove rear first then put the front on a stand (under the forks such as in the pic).

Super stable. More stable than if the front wheel was still on.

This front stand under the forks:

YOU did not understand the question...I use the stands on the ninja...no problem...but with rear shaft drive Pit bull stands don't work on the rear areas for lifting...don't want a lift table like in the bike shops.....want to raise the rear if I want to work on it...I have no center stand on the C-14......so what is Plan B?

Do like a sportbike and hang the bike using cargo straps and ceiling rafters or a wooden workhorse.

I usually take the plastics off and lift from the frame or subframe when doing this

Cheaper and easier to modify the centerstand to fit whatever jacked exhaust has been ill-advisedly done to the bike, and bolt the sucker back on.  ;)

Just be glad that you two guys are about as far apart as you can get in the CONUS 'cause if he was closer his shieldless headlights would be blinding you as well as his posts annoying you.

ROFLMAO two times.

So are you going to answer his question or just continue to be difficult?

ROFLMAO three times.

When I get upset, rubbing my elkhoof calms me down- seeing as you have Mr. Elkhoof's twin perhaps it would work for you too? Or just use it to inflict blunt force trauma on the pavement until the rage is mostly passed.

ROFLMAO four times.

OFFTOPIC: (as if this thread could be damaged) Went to PA this last weekend for a COG function. On the way back got stuck in traffic in NY just before crossing the Hudson. Sitting there a guy leans out of a pickup passenger window and asks where that hoof came from. Beating down the first smart alec response I thought of (from the bottom of an animal) I said Washington state. He then asked what animal and I said Elk- as usual for us easteners he thought it was from a white tail deer that would have to be about 60 feet tall. I gotta' tell you Chet, that hoof is truly the gift that keeps on giving. People point, laugh, are shocked, take photos and all kinds of really funny stuff when they see him on the bike going down the road.

I really think a lift is the best idea all round.  I guess if you play with toys like Steve does, you can throw a rope over a beam and hoist it up  ;) .  The true professionals use a lift.

Hmmm, hung like a sportbike? That just doesn't have much of a 'ring' to it, does it?
