Wow, long break from riding, busy winter/spring.

Got on the bike for the first time since Nov./gulp!

Had Seth make a seat for me last Nov., been gawking at it ever since.  Rode yesterday 180 miles in total comfort, no numbness.  Actually forgot all about the seat it was so comfy, just rode and took in the day smiling.  Sorry, no pic., but will post soon.

The seat really fit like a glove tailored just for me, because that what Seth does, great work. 

Anyone who is thinking of a custom seat, you are welcome  to come over and check it out.  But you better hurry because we're moving to Sandpoint, Idaho in mid June, thus the busyness this spring.  I should be able to squeeze  in a couple more short rides before I split, I'll keep an eye out in the upcoming rides section.

Hope everyone had a great winter/spring, I love this bike, cant wait to tour ID/MT/BC etc.

I just sent my seat off to Seth as well but havent finalized the options yet. Did you get vinyl or leather? Any regrets either way? I am really leaning toward the leather but Seth assures me that it will but just as comfortable with vinyl, just a little warmer because vinyl doesnt breath like leather does. Leather costs about $100 more and requires more care. Decisions decisions. .......

I have had both from Seth and prefer the leather.  It has a little darker look and the texture just felt better to me, kind of hard to explain.  As long as you use the conditioner leather is easy.   Skidmores is what I use.

I went with vinyl because of the rain I will be in from time to time. 

The position the seat puts me in is just as anticipated, between the pic I sent him and our conversation on the phone, Seth nailed it.  Pic coming I swear

Please provide details on this seat.  The seat on my 2012 sets my butt on fire after about 2 hours.

he uses your stock seat and rebuilds it instead of using aftermarket seat pans. I decided to go with him because I have yet to hear anybody say anything negative about his seats. Every other maker has people that love or hate them.

I am another happy camper... Seth did my seat last month and I've been very happy.
Comfy, great looking and what a deal for $250+/- !

That looks like a bucket that puts you in one spot, like it or not.  Also with the low center and the high sides, it would appear to make it harder to touch the ground, not good?

I bought a Holeshot Corbin for my old Bandit once, paid $400 or so and knew I'd made a mistake as soon as I sat on the bike. It physically made it more dangerous at low speed.

Do these seats give you better ass feel for lack of a better term, at the expense of feet down manueverability?

I had Seth build my seat last September using leather and it looked almost exactly like the photo above. The seat was a little high under the thighs and didn't let me move back and forth in the saddle. I called Seth explaining my problem. I shipped the seat back and he corrected it for no charge to my specifications. I got the seat back and it is perfect. It allows me to move in the saddle in the twisties. I put 320 miles on the bike a week ago on a trip to the coast and back and it was great. I can't say enough good things about the quality and price of the seat. Seth will work with you to make the saddle fit your needs. Just my 2 cents.
