Givi XS307 EasyLock Tank Bag (w/ photos)
« on: April 25, 2013, 07:34:23 PM »
Just got my Givi XS307 EasyLock tank bag with BF04 mounting ring and it fits like a charm on my 2012 Concours14. No magnets, no contact with the tank paint, locks through a fuel filler mounted ring.

Just taught I'd share this with the rest of you; I felt like there wasn't many tank bag post.

Sounds great! Could you post a picture of it installed?
Thanks.

Thanks

How tall is it?  With Helibars it brings the bars back and reduces clearance for a tank bag. Please post picture installed. Thx

This won't fit with Helibars.

From experiance the Easylock tank bags will not work with the "glove" compartment installed.  I had one on my 2008 but had to remove the glove box.  The good news is you can retro fit the cover from a 2010 +.

SkyWalker,

It's been a couple months now, how's the tank bag working out?
Any features you like/dislike?  Does the horn/starter buttons hit when the bars are turned all the way?
Is the mounting on and off easy?

I've been looking for a good tank bag, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Pilgrim

Now into mid-summer;  Givi XS307 is a great tank bag especially with the EasyLock mounting ring. Steady, solid and convenient mount. Great material used for the bag itself.

No issues with control interfernces on stock C14.

One small minor improvement; bottom expansion bellow zipper tab was hanging on the tank and marring the paint. Quick fix is to use a small elastic rope tied to the zipper tab and suspend it from the LH side pocket.

Really a top notch product.

Anyone have other tank bags they like???  I am in the market and there seems to be nothing interesting in stock; however, they could order it... but there may be a restocking fee.... :(

Please chime in with your preferences for tank bags!!  So far, all of your knowledge has saved me a lot!

In response to the question about other tank bags, I use a RoadGear Magnetic Jumbo 18+liter tank bag. http://roadgear.com/magnetic-jumbo-sport-tank-p-76.html which I use on my 2012 C14 and really like the way it works for me.  My objection to the ring lock style bag is the way they look on the bike with the front and back of the bag sort of suspended in the air above the tank. No problem with the magnetic bag staying in place. When I go to gas up, I just pick the bag off the tank and put it in the riders seat, take on fuel and replace it. Never takes more than 2 seconds to relocate the bag. I have always ridden with a tank bag and keep one of everything in it including rain suits for wife and I. Even though I have a GPS on the bike I prefer to use maps and the big map case is important to me.
