bad idling

hi guys need help here.
my bike idling cant seem to stay at 1.2k or 1k  on the rpm   espically when warming up in the morning rpm will go up to 1.5k for few sec than will drop to 0. tried manually turning it to 1.5k but after awhile riding the rpm  get higher n i have to manually turn it down or i wont get any engine brakes.
bike is installed with zx14 throttles bodies zx14 muzzy full system. pc5 and muzzy advancer but is advance in the same postion as stock...what seems to be the problem..thanks

The idle should speed up during warm-up. About 1,500 or so for the first minute. The idle should be around 1,000. Has it been sitting? It may just need some Techron ran through it for a tankfull.

Kinda hard to troubleshoot with all those add-ons for fuel management.  Haven't heard of that issue before, though.  Could be a batch of bad gas..  Easiest check might be dumping the tank and starting over again.

Taking a stab in the dark, is the bike fitted with an 02 sensor (European or Auto tune)?  If the sensor fails it could potentially cause this.  I would also say the description would be a lean condition, maybe after install of the ZX14 TBs you have an air leak below the TBs.  Firsthand experience says they are a real pain to get on correctly.

My bike is a stock '11 . I had the problem where when cold the idle would go up to 2K and stay when cold. Sometimes it would drop, drop to the point where motor would stop.
Shop had bike for two weeks, said that kawa claimed it was normal for cold running.

I noticed that it was worse when in eco mode. Note that once warm, bike idle was fine.
I then noticed that the header bolts were super loose. I tightened them up, problem went away.
My theory is that when they get real loose, you get a little leaking down there and the bike is running leaner than it should. Toss in eco mode and it just aggravates the whole problem.
I'd suggest that you check the tightness of those nuts.

If your bike was ok before, you might need to check for your Airfilter & Gas Pump

I looked at this in the manual.. there is an idle screw on the left side.  the manual gives specs for how it's supposed to idle.... I am going to fix mine tomorrow..

1200 rpm or so or you may regret it...lower it might start cutting off on you.
