A 50 50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water sprayed on the critters... let sit for 10-15 minutes... they'll come of easier.  Hydrogen peroxide loves to eat protein...  8)

I got a dog for my wife too. . .
. . .I guess I'll miss her :'(

But this reminds me of a recent experience.  A couple of weeks ago I was heading home from work in Minnesota (65 miles one way) and was dressed for the weather of the day 20 F. I stopped at a grocery store/gas station to get my nicotine fix and a Hardley dude couldn’t keep his eyes off me at the check-out counter.  Finally he said, “Nice day for a ride. . .what are you wearing. . .ice-fishing pants?!?” (in a condescending tone).  Yeah, I was wearing my VEXLAR ice-fishing bibs under my hi-vis Firstgear Kilimanjaro jacket.  My response. . .
“Staying warm isn’t a fashion statement. . .(pops) and. . .’ it’s a perfect day for riding, few bugs and fewer Harleys!”

This happened to me in Florida on a hot summer night.  I was riding my other bike and my helmet was so covered with mosquitoes that I had to flip up my visor to be able to see.  When I stopped for gas, I used a squeege to clean the mosquitoes from the visor.

Welcome to the forum. I travel to Taiwan off and on for business and have stayed at the Sunrise Gold & Country Club not far from you. I always though it would be good riding over in the Hualien area but would scare me to ride anywhere in Taipei. I would actually wash my bike more often if I encountered that many bugs!

"Sunrise Golf & Country Club" is not far form my place, I've been to there couple times to see the night view! There is a nice place!

Hualien is a rider's paradise, there are so many beautiful mountain road and coast road! So many first nations live there, they are very enthusiastic and cute and they are almost the good singer!

If you come to Taiwan again , you have to take a ride to Hualien! You will not be disappointed!!

It reminds of a few summer nights riding in SF Bay Delta area about 30 miles N.E. SF Bay. One gets coated with layer of bugs that are like a spread of  "Vegimite"

But nothing beats Florida in the summer.   Soft bodied, hard bodied insects all over the place, mosquitoes, love bugs, wasps, hornets, giant dragonflies, you name it.

I've come to a conclusion the C14 is a bug magnet. Last year I rode with guy on a C10. My 14 was covered in bugs while the C10 had only a few.

Florida riding? I sure don’t miss the 4pm rain and the Love bugs.

That's because the bugs were passing him, did you check the back side of his 10?  ;D

It used to be 2:30 when I lived there, they must have changed the time.

Yealp, The base I worked at isn't there anymore either. I got off of work at 4 pm, and halfway to the gate, there would be a line on the road. one side was wet the other side was dry. I always rode into the wet side. I didn't mind too much....better than staying at work.

+1 on the Love Bugs! I can tell you from experience that Love bugs do not taste very well!!!
We get swarms of them periodically here in SE Texas.
