I must be missing something here... just put the bike in 1st gear, let the bike roll a little to take up driveline slack, and it's not going anywhere.

With center stand is not possible for you, your advice is not suitable to hold 300k, a fly at high speed buffers that the C14 if you have not MCEnterprise Guards will be pain.

+1  Putting the bike on the CS while parking in public is asking for trouble.

True. I guess I just don't have much of a need to use the center stand on a steep downward slope.

I like it.  The only tip over I ever had involved a hill, 1st gear, warm motor and grieving mother.  I wish a flat spot always presented itself for parking, but that just at the case.  I wish I had Aunt "Velcro", but she was visiting her Nephew
