Replacement Headlight Bulbs
« on: October 14, 2012, 12:50:54 PM »
I'm looking to replace the stock bulbs with something much brighter. I do not want to go the HID route, so this will be just a replacement. Any good ideas on the choices out there?

Lovin' my C14!!!

I always had good luck with Silverstars.

Lots of people used silverstars on their Gold Wings but they burn out faster than stock bulbs.

Yes, the silverstar bulbs do burn out faster. They are totally worth it though. Just buy a set of spares at the same time, & put them in some foam, & store them under the seat or in the glove box. I get about a year out of mine, then I buy another set when I use the spares.

Philips Vision+100 X-treme H4 Bulbs from murph's.  i have gone thru four sets of silver stars including the "motorcycle" bulbs.  they always burn out in less than a year, well actually only one burns out.  total pia.  i have them in my PU truck and the are going strong after 3+ years.

I'm using the Silverstar Ultras, now. Did the Phillips bulbs; didn't last all that long.
