No. I wouldn't own a BMW if you gave me one. I couldn't afford what they want to charge for maintenance. And if you must know, I really dislike BMW (actually all other bikes as well) discussions in C14 specific threads 
unless it's a comparison and relevant to the original subject matter of the thread. I know, I'm just peculiar. Ask anyone. I don't mind their discussions elsewhere (another board). I'm trying to be nice here but my patience is wearing thin. I want this thread to be a discussion of the 2013 C14's being announced shortly, not a discussion on BMWs. I'm going to start drinking soon and my tolerance goes way down and I can't be held responsible for actions with the sword.. Capisce? And I really hate to use that sword. It gets dirty and then I have to clean it and it takes a long time and I sometimes cut myself as well.
Jim, thanks for rethinking your decision to close this. The reality is that after the first post, there is really nothing else to discuss on this thread that is relevant to the thread title. Until the 13th rolls around what else can we say. The 2013 BMW's are already being built, so why not discuss them?
But I see you are very sensitive to the subject. But since I'm replying to what you said, let me say this. There is a thread on the BMW forum that compares maintenance costs of a 1600 to the Concours. You might be surprised at the outcome. The Concours loses.
