Neat racing video
« on: August 16, 2012, 12:02:08 PM »
I look at these guys with wonder :yikes:...  I like to go fast but at this speed I'd be toast!

It looks like fun at about one third of the speed though.

Isle of Man TT <---THE best race in the world. I hope to make it over there and watch it within the next few years. I'll take my FOB too =)

they must have every inch of that track memorized to pull 170's thru those streets.  Awesome!  haven't seen a promo in a few years for the race

Sometimes after a day of playin' in the canyons thoughts turn to suspension/tire/motor/whatever might make me faster upgrades. I watch a video of Isle of Man TT and realize what fast really is. This usually save me money...  ;)

What a fantastic race. I am retiring next July and the Isle of Man TT is a must do on my list.  My riding partner has relatives there for lodging. Those riders have large stones..

OMG, that looks brutal on the body.
See some of those bumps from the onboard camera? Sheesh.

Is that why they measure weight in stones?

I had that same thought after taking a class at Infinion Raceway with Reg Pridmore. I was dropping down the carousel turn on my ZX-12R thinking I was riding with my hair on fire until I saw "Fred", one of Pridmore's adjunct instructors pass me on the outside on a Triumph Truxton. Let me know right away how much my riding skills needed to improve.

Not all of them. There have been over 200 of them killed in that race since the inception.  :o

The MotoGP guys like to have runoff area, padded fences, etc. You don't get much of that at the TT.

To me, the most scary parts of the video are at 3:31 and 3:47. If that happened to me at those speeds there would be a permanent pucker mark in the bike seat.  :yikes:
