How about a picture of the old style and the new style so we can see the difference.

The air bag is normally already holding onto the handle bars and the curb feelers are normally up on the foot pegs.    :battle: :P  ;D

Funny, I always put the air bag on the back.

Let's hope the air bag doesn't read this forum...

I was quoted $350 for the front set and $175 for the rear.

Handicapped rails or not, I'm ordering them next week--they'll give me a good place to mount my aux lighting.

The one thing I loved about my ST1300 and Goldwing was the built-in tip over protection.
sadly bikeless..... but I'm working on that!

I still have not mounted my fairing guards, but I just might.  Especially if I decided to mount auxiliary lights on the bike.

They look like they would add a better anchor point for tie-down straps, etc. when traveling.  Would be nice if the front bars had a place to rest your feet when going down the highway.

I am currently in the process of installing mine. I have to say the the thought of an insurance claim, bike downtime, and thousands of $$$s in damage is far uglier than the ugly bars. It's all subjective though.

How are they different from the originals.
Less width?
What was the price?
Easy to install?

Very easy to install, just have to re-route a couple coolant lines. I was not aware they change the design, sorry I couldn't help.

All done...

Looks good. Do the rear guards interfere with the bags at all? Also, can you take a pic from the side with the bags off, please?

Thanks,
Chris

The rear guards are the short version so there is no interference with the bags at all. If you ride two-up your passenger may have some peg issues. I made the wife get her own bike so that's not an issue for me ;). I'll see if I can get some pics after work today.

How are they different from the originals.

The tubes are larger on the re-designed ones.
There may be other changes as well.
