Gee, that sounds too simple.  I think I'll do it when I pull the tank to move cables around for my handlebar mod this weekend.
Thanks!!!

What is the wattage on the 220 ohm resistor?  is .25, .50 or .75?

Radio Shack 220ohm 1/4 watt part # 271-1313. You get a pack of 5 resistors. Give the left overs to you friends. :o

I see the explanation and photo in the "Fuel Gauge Adjustment" on the COG site but I'm still uncertain on what to wire the 220 ohm resistor to.

It appears that the wires from the resistor are wired in to the rear of one of the plugs.
Which plug do I wire into?

Then there are two wires from the resistor.
Does it matter which resistor wire (the pig tails) connects to which terminal on the plug?

I realize that these are some layman questions but I didn't learn alot in my electronics class in school because the instructor was also the football coach who rarely taught the class but was typically found in his office reviewing tape from Friday nights game.  So I'll blame my ignorance on that...

If Sparkie runs out of the 220's I have a few too. I would be happy to send one off to anyone for no charge. They were dirt-cheap. Came in a pack of 5 I think. So I probably have 4 to give away.
