Tim, sorry to hear the news about your mom. I wish her a speedy recovery.
I know about strokes. My dad had many before passing away 2 years ago thanks to diabetes.

The first couple he had, were pretty bad at first, but I was amazed how fast all the signs disappeared.
One side of his face slumped, couldn't swallow, had to have the thickening stuff added to his drinks, lost use of one side...etc. he even took a short trip into dementia for a couple weeks, which really scared us. In spite of all this, after a few weeks and a lot of rehab, they all went away.
The hospital rehab was WELL worth it. If they offer it, it will probably help her a lot.

Sorry i haven't been on for a couple of weeks but I'm sad to announce my Mom passed away on 4/1 due to complications from her stroke.

But i have had a chance to put about 500 miles on my bike this last weekend and was able to get out and get my mind off of things and clear my head a bit. Life has forever changed for me and my family but we are trying to adjust.
