To close the loop on this, I respect Brian and his knowledge. Much more knowledgeable than myself. I simply enjoy Kipass each and everytime I press that little stovepipe key and the bike spins up!
What Brian has said/explained is how I would (as a layman) expect the system to work. Makes sense how it was explained. I still will be curious what the email said and will try to get a copy if it when I drop the bike off next week. Could be a way mother Kaw is trying to explain a constant need to replace tpms units to their dealer network....but that is stretching it a bit I believe.
Anyway I will post up the email if I am lucky enough to get it.
