Thanks

I'm leaning toward adding a flashing led brake (accessory) lamp as I tend to be a bit obsessive with hitting the brakes as people approach me to be sure they actually stop.

More expensive, but much larger, multifunction, easier to mount, and probably much higher quality:

When looking for additional rear brake lite I was ready to order one of these style liteheads also. I happened across a fellow LD rider who had the same unit and stood back while he applied the brakes. What I found, and he was already aware of, was that as long as you were directly inline with the litehead the effect was very good. But as soon as you started moving off center the effect started to diminish to the point of being no brighter than the standard bulbed taillite, especially in daylite, when the additional lite is more important to me.

So I started researching to find something that spread the light to the sides more. What I came up with was this,

http://www.strobesnmore.com/whelen-linz6-super-led-lighthead.html

It spreads the lite to the sides very well and is very easily seen during the daylite hours and is borderline obnoxious after the sun goes down.

I have this and the stock lite hooked to a wig-wag.

Oh, it looked like some other brand.  Whelen is a very good/respected brand, indeed.  That still wouldn't do what I would want (and would still choose the Admore light bar in a heartbeat), but I can take back the "quality" comment, for sure.

That is actually extremely common with LED light fixtures.  Sometimes directionality is a good thing, but many times LED's are just too directional and need a good "diffuser" to make the viewing angle better.

Those look pretty good, I've been looking for something like those to put low on my bags to compliment my other set-up.

I have the Whelen LIN3 mounted on the rear of my C-14 where the reflector was on the fender.  It definitely gets some attention.

I ordered a SoundOff GHOST LED Mini  EGHST1 today. Plan to mount it under the rack in the rear.

I purchased one of the Gall's lights and installed it today. I have mixed feelings about it now that it is done. I mounted it to the black panel just below the OEM brake light and that panel has a little slope to it. That slope was just enough to reduce the brightness from OMG! bright to just everyday bright......at least during daytime hours. I will see what it looks like tonight and maybe that will be better.

That's a shame, it appears you really did a top notch install. Very professional looking job from that picture.
