Passenger backrest help

I've got a Givi box with the backrest pad on it, but my wife isn't a fan of it.  She says it hits her too high in the back and feels like it's almost pushing her to lean forward.  She says she thinks something a little lower that will rest as a lumbar support would be better.  Anyone got any suggestions for what I can do to accomodate her a little better?

This is a Givi TB 11 that I attached to a Murph's rack. It works well, looks sanitary and should be able to attach your Givi trunk (I got the  rack with the Givi option). I also have a Sargents seat, which works better with the back rest than the stock.

I have the same complaint from my wife.  On our 3000 mile trip to Nova Scotia we ended up rolling up a towel into a 'tube' and wedging that between the top of the rear portion of the seat and the bottom of the Givi. It worked but wasn't a long term solution.  I am also looking for a solution for when the Givi is installed.

My gal  had the same complaint about the Kawasaki 47L top case with the pad on it.  Before going the route of installing a backrest support bracket internal to the custom seat I made, I was going to make a lower lumbar support pad to install on the lower half of the case.  Same idea as Armyguns rolled towel.

Yeah, I'm thinking about moving the existing pad to the bottom of the case (flipping it upside down) and maybe making another pad out of foam wrapped in vinyl and attached to a baseplate that'll matches the bolt holes for the upper pad.

I am certainly a big fan of the corbin set-up, it looks really nice, but it's just not in the budget right now.

Take it off all together and see if that helps.  My wife prefers the E55 with NO pad.
