Just a note for those with a need for Concours speed: Don't shift to sixth gear until you absolutely have to.

If you shift there too early, the thing just bogs down with no more acceleration. Sixth is just good for maintaining your current speed, not adding more. I have been to the 2010 limit and I can say that you get tunnel vision since the things around the periphery become a blur. Bike was very stable though.

And with the bags on, it definitely outruns a Yamaha FZ1, but just barely.
