Follow up: I end up getting my 2011 for 13,080.00 plus dealer prep and tax. They also gave me 1.9% financing for the life of the loan. I feel like I got a great deal. Oh, and a Scorpion EXO 500 for half off!

Where?  Dealer prep is a rip, just an FYI... Kawasaki will reimburse dealer for this.

It was Fay Myer and I do know about prep. With a price of 13,500.00 otd before tax, I was okay with it. The next closest offer I got from three other dealers was 14,000.00+ tax. That plus a 50% discount on the helmet I wanted sealed the deal for me.

It seems like no matter how good of a "deal" you get, someone always finds something a little better - of course it may be halfway across the country and there may be some other unmentioned differences that contributed to the price difference.  I find its best to not look back at what you could have paid and just worry about enjoying the ride and perhaps keeping it in mind on your next purchase.

Sometimes its the dealer you have that makes all the difference.  Everybody wants it cheapest, then screams about customer service.  They go to the dealer to try on helmets, then order them online.  The local business needs to make money to stay in business.  I lost my local Kawi dealer, now I would have to go almost 2 hours away.

Count the WHOLE cost is what I am saying.

$15,119 OTD with matching 47litre trunk. Kawasaki City, Lancaster TX.

I gave'em a call. $15,104.00 OTD. That's a 2011 C14 and a GTPP 3yr extended warranty. I'm 5 hours away and I've been dealing with a Houston dealer. I'll call him tomorrow and see if he'll match. Right now he is about $900 higher.

You might try Wild West Honda/Kawasaki/BMW in Katy too... a friend of mine got a decent deal on a 2010 last year from them.

Dealer financing is one place where stealerships make some dough so eliminate that problem before you go in there.

That is correct.  It is also why they will often give you a little better price on the bike if you finance through them.  However, the APR is usually a little higher from their financial institute.

You might try ebay, fly to the bike, rider her home 8)  I'm lucky that we have a number of dealers here in Florida that discount heavily.

These are some nice prices. I couldn't wait for the 11s prices to fall, so I grabbed a left over 2010 abs OTD for $13948 incl. taxes. I do see why people do and don't include taxes. I live in Maine and bought from New Hampshire, so I added the taxes paid when I got home. Residents of New Hampshire don't want to hear about all the taxes other states are paying. They just want real deal pricing.

No affiliation with these guys, just a good dealer!

Honda East in Toledo, Ohio has a 2011 ABS for $13,599 now.
2010 abs $13,199
2010 non-abs $12,599

If I remember correctly, they do not add all the xtra fees either. I know some from this forum have done the fly-n-ride deal with them. Good people to deal with. Toledo Express Airport is only 10 miles to the west.

I sure hope your local dealer would match prices.  Where do you expect to go for warranty service?

Local dealers expect MSRP they're not looking to build relationships with buyers. I shoot for the best deal first. I'll worry about service later. When you bring your bike in for warranty issues, start getting prices on the tires and brake service. I have heard the horror stories about warranty service, but I won't sweat that til it happens.

I find it hard to believe dealers are holding to MSRP.  Service is real important and you want to support your local dealer or you may not have one in the future.
