Just put PR3's on a couple hundred miles ago. Interested to see the end mileage. The Angels I had before only lasted about 4.5K miles. That's why I went with the Mich's. However, they don't stick like the Angels. Going to try the new Angel GT's next. Dual compound.

About 6k on my Angels front and rear, the rear looks to be about at half life and the front looks brand new. And yes I ride quite a bit of twisty roads in Ohio, they are plentiful here.  8)

Finally installed the second pair of PR3's today.  Rear was showing cords, front was bald (as in smooth) on the sides, and almost bald in the center.  It was really squared off too.  I removed a 180/55 PR3, so today I installed the 190/55 PR3 to see how that goes.  Always use the stock size front.

I really don't see how anyone can get 2 rears for each front, unless you're doing burnouts, or never use the front brakes and never push the bike in corners.

Saw the most mileage out of these PR3's so far :
Brickstones = 4,897 miles.  Front shot (cupped, squared off), rear still OK for a spare.
Pirelli Angel ST's = 7,307 miles.  Rear showing cords, front OK for a spare.
PR2's = 10,804 miles.  Rear showing cords, front cupped, down to wear bars, causing front end shimmy.
PR3's = 11,863 miles.  Rear showing cords, front bald on sides, squared off badly.

With my bike fully loaded, fuel cell and all; I get between 8k-9k out of my rear and have a little over 12k on my front so far and looks like it will go for a few thousand more. I swapped both before a 6 day rally so I have a front in my garage that has 6k miles on it. I've only used pr3's on this bike, got a nail in the stock rear after 4k and the stock front lasted around 5k. From what I've gathered from the LD riding crowd, its pretty standard to have 2 rears per 1 front.

My bike probably isn't as heavy at 2-up riders, more of 1.5 riding:

Seems crazy! I can get 14,000-15,000 miles with ease. I don't know how people get under 10,000 with PR2s or PR3s.

I am with you on that . My last set got 14K on the rear and close to 20 on the front. I am not hard on tires. US 36 and 40 are pretty straight roads through Indiana and OHIO. 56 through the Hocking Hills a couple of times a month is the extent of my twisties.

You think all the time I spend at 85+ maybe the tires do not really touch the ground for very long? My mother is convinced this bike has wings.

I only do HWY slab less than 10% of the time, maybe that has something to do with it in comparison to some of you other folks that do lots o' slabbing.  :-\

FWIW though I'm actually quite pleased with the miles I got out of these, I'm not disappointed a bit, I usually only get about 3k miles out of tires on my Gixxer, so to get this many miles out of the PR3's on the ZG is the best I've ever had.  :)
