I never had that much luck when I crashed, getting my plane back and no damage, that's a great day flying.
I have a 20 year old QB40 that my kids "found" in my storage stuff. I told them many stories about building my plane, crashing, flying, crashing, equipment, crashing, and more crashing stories.
I told them since they got my plane out, I might get back into flying again. Well being smart a** kids, they probably felt I might need some help. For X-Mas 2012, my kids got me RealFlight 6. I wish I had RF6 before I started to learn how to fly.
Remote Control "RC" as a hobby is fun stuff, unless you crash a lot. I did master the crashing part.
That's how I did it 30 years ago. Fly it each day until you crash it or it gets dark. Then spend the next week rebuilding so that you can repeat the next weekend. I've killed a lot of balsa trees in my day.
