So I thought I would start out this thread. It has been popular on other forums and helps people see what other members are doing.
I took my Connie in to get a new PC5 and the Ti (Black Series) Two Brothers exhaust and a dyno. I don't have a picture of the finished product yet... so here is my paintshop version. I like the Ti over the Carbon pipes. Cant wait to get it back!

I thought that we had a thread for this somewhere? But no matter...

I just pushed mine out of the way and then rode this one to Starbucks. The KTM pretended to be a Ducati for the evening.

Here's what it looks like when its not pretending to be a Duc!

I made her wet today...
Only in Oregon, can it be sunny and no sign of rain anywhere, I get 3 miles down the road and start getting rained on... I get off at the location to take the picture I want, and it starts hailing on me! Torrential downpour hail! Take the picture, pack it up and start leaving, and it sunny by the time I'm halfway home again (1.5 miles from the destination)
Oh, and on that heavy amount of hail that fell, the KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) did its job flawlessly! Had a straight spot and got reasonably hard on the throttle in first, felt the back slip just a bit, KTRC power cut, then some slight fishtailing, and back to normal. First time I've REALLY had the opportunity to test it, and I never once felt out of control of the motorcycle. It brought the wheel back to traction quite smoothly.

^^^^ nice post!
and nice bike!
anyway, answering to the OP, today I looked at my bike and took the cage on wheels :-\
But she'll be up and running in 2 weeks when I'm back from holidays...
-
I petted my C14 in the garage, through her winter cover, and whispered sweet nothings to her. I told her that it won't be too long before all the damn snow melts and I can ride her instead of my snowmobile. I think that Connie is a bit jealous.
-
Rode it.
First ride of 2014. Weather starting to give us a break. Nice.
-
rode it most of this week but snowed last night so I installed some LED running lights attached to my canyon cages.

^^^^ nice post!
and nice bike!
Thanks! Shes my DD so I get to ride her a lot :) Supposed to be getting some new rain gear in today so hopefully I wont get soaked again haha.
-
Rode it casually at 70mph in the carpool to work this morning. The only excitement today was one of the new CHP SUVs came flying up way behind without its lights on.
I barely had enough time to merge into lane 2 while there was heavy traffic. CHP had to slow down because I didn't have enough time to get out of the way... I guess he finally figured that it was important to turn on his lights so he did after he passed.
-
Well since it is has been below freezing for 55 days straight, now its raining for 2 days, with more below freezing temps coming from behind........WTF
I felt the need to flush the cooling system, clutch, and both brakes. Then boredom really set in so I replaced the fuel filter on the pump the air filter, then cleaned and lubed the windscreen slides.
The rear wheel is off now so I can service the shaft splines and lube the suspension pivot points.
Now with renewed vigor of the below freezing temps coming back in 2 days I guess I will change the fork oil.
And I also made a mod to the aux tank and welded up a air chamber and welded shut some of the unused bungs.
OH.............and I started it up about 3 weeks ago for 10 minutes :o
you guys in the warmer states get in a ride for those of us that are froze in.................................but I dont want to hear about it ;D

My 2010 received it's first bath of the year, It was covered in tiny little no-see-ums
from my ride up to Tortilla Flat last Wed. Afterwards I buffed some minor scuffs out of the tank and flushed the brake and clutch systems. I also disabled my low fuel warning so that I can see my range right down to empty.. It's not plug-n-play
like BDF's but it should work well for a .29 cent mod.

Yup. Had a photoshoot that I was ahead of schedule for that was nearby so I made a run for it. Lotsa gravel in the center of the lanes still. Be careful up there.

Cool, my backyard, I'm on Bull Mountain, that means you must be close to me Stephen, now I know who to contact for a good photographer to schedule a photo shoot! ;) :) :chugbeer:

I do real-estate photography. Take pictures of houses that are going on the market for agents.

New Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires, and had the valve cover gasket replaced.
I went for the 55 profile rear to give it a try.
It warmed up and rained pretty hard yesterday, enough to clear the main roads of the salt and sand, so I drove it home from the shop. The secondary roads still had a bit of water and sand. My driveway was the worst.
Now I'll just have to wait for about another month and a half until I get to ride it.

Did you save it for dinner?
Started installing my Vololights today..

Rode up past Bristol Motor Speedway, up the Snake(US 421) to the store at the crossroads and had a bologna sandwich--the cashier wanted to know if I wanted it fried. Bless her!!

I am still waiting for my bike to get out of the shop with a two brothers pipe and the pc5. I asked them about taking out the secondary flies. "We'll see once it's on the dyno" he said. ETA is 4 more days away. Just in time for a rain soaked weekend.

That is a strange response from someone you are paying to do work on your bike.

Maybe we would think that normally, but in this case the bike will get a custom dyno tune by none other than Eric Dorn of EDR Performance. EDR Performance is the premiere motorcycle performance and racing center on the West Coast. So... I will let him see what he thinks... that's ok with me. I am sure he will try it both ways. Here is their link.

EDR is one of the best shops in the PNW. Its worth the wait. When you consider how much building they do for everyone from local trackday bikes, to AMA Pro racers, its very understandable. Even still Ive brought in an emergency job for them a few times and had it done same day. Amazing customer service there.
-
Pulled the front tire for a new mount ( PR3 ) after the install noticed my brake pads were worn so off to jake wilson for new pads and a quick install.

Changing pads are not original Kawasaki, but with ceramic coating for heat dissipation, as a result km with facts give my judgment.

I got my Two Brothers slip on installed together with a PC5. The dyno came out to 142rwhp and 92Lbs of torque. I wanted this bike set up primarily for distance cruising. The thing I like best about the tune is that the bike no longer pogos when letting off the throttle in the corners... just a nice steady response. That throttle response is worth its weight in gold (what ever it may weigh) as the pogo-ing would upset the weight distribution of the bike when I least wanted it to happen (CORNERS). So I am really luvin the response.

Currently in process of lubing her up :) Only the best for this girl ;)

Also inspecting the drive shaft oil level, topping off the front Master Cylinder, dropping the front a few MM to get me by until I put the /55/ PR4's on.
Also noticed some oil residue on the left side bottom of the cowl (Right near the '10+ drain plug) and traced it back to some breather tubes, so may try to see if I can work those so they're not dripping on the inside of the cowl.

Quite the fisheye lens you have there.
And what is that low-tech putt-putt beside the Concours?

"The best"? But that's Amsoil! ;) Oh, you must mean the Motul? :)

Rode it to a job I'm doing in Richmond today.

It's a GoPro Hero 3 White. May be purchasing a 3+ Black soon for work stuff :)
That's my Wifes V-Star 250 that she doesn't ride nearly enough. We're gunna get her a MC Permit so she can actually ride the thing legally with me, and get to learn the clutch before she takes the MSF Course to get her endorsement.
"The best"? But that's Amsoil! ;) Oh, you must mean the Motul? :)
The Motul is Brake fluid. lol It came from the dealer with brake fluid pretty low, so I topped it off and good to go =D (also inspected EVERYTHING for leaks, all clean)

Yesterday I got my bike out of winter hibernation. I got her uncovered and checked and checked her over really close. No mice! The weather was nice and I really wanted to go for a ride but the roads around here are still white with salt. It rained last night so the salt should be gone today. :)
-
In the last week I changed the oil (Royal Purple Max Cycle), replaced the brake and clutch fluid, added a battery tender, put in a K&N air filter, and a Corbin seat. Rode to work today to try out the heated grips in 45 degree weather, yeah they work! ;D

45?! Try 12!!!! Im wearing a medium weight jacket and summer gloves and jeans at 45!

Sure but here in the California bay area it never gets that cold, had to wait for it to drop below 50 in the early morning just so I could give them a shot without sweating to much and ruining my nice leather gloves. ;D

Having a nightmare trying to figure out what's going on with the forks. Now I know why it understeers.

I took them off to change the oil but it seems that whats in there is different from the book..I posted it elsewhere. Seems someone has been playing around with the bike.

Rode to work 4x this week. Over the winter, I put 55w HID in it and PIAA Sport horns, massive improvement on both counts. Oh yeah, a Guhl reflash, OMG I love that mod. Can't help but say MWAH HAH HAH!! Over and over...
-
:) :chugbeer:
Thanks J! It seems that our recent glacial period has finally come to and end. :)
It was glorious yesterday. 55f and sunny. Just cool enough to wear all the gear and be very comfortable. I love this bike.

I averted my eyes walking through the garage on the way to work.... :'(

Sounds like you had enough SNOWmobiling C
I should be done with my modifications on the bottom of my race boat this weekend ;D

I didn't do anything to my moto today, still got two months left on this deployment. My wife commented about the fact there is a large pile of parts awaiting my return:
Bike Bullets with Pod Mod (LED marker lights that "twinkle" for visibility)
MCL passenger footpeg extensions with pegs installed
Murphs driver footpegs
Beadrider passenger seat
Eastern Beaver PC-8 fuse box
Stebel Horns
New wiring kit for heated vest
PR4's
CH tank bag
There's probably a few other small things in the pile o'parts. Hopefully I can get most things installed in one or two days before my June trip to Cape Spear, Newfoundland.
-
Can't talk her into getting those parts installed while you're away?

hope to see you on the road this year, :chugbeer:

What did you do with your bike today?
Absofreaking nothing.
Delivered bike to dealer on Thur after work for replacement of the two TPS and new tires + rear brake recall. Asked for it to be completed by Sat morning.
Most beautiful weekend of the year. Called dealer this morning- they haven't even STARTED working on my bike and won't do anything with it today, either. Weekend ruined. I don't want to do stupid chores. Spent three hours trying to mow the lawn with a broken mower that dies under any load when it gets hot. What a life.
-
Take the mower to the dealer and pick up the bike. Have him not work on the mower and you can ride the bike.
-

I wish it worked that way. Seems they are slammed due to the season. I wanted to get this done much sooner, but so slammed at work. Hopefully I will get it back Monday after work, if I can make it over there. It is overdue for 7500 service (I think I am at 9000 now?)... I might have made a huge mistake by not having them do that now... thinking I can do it myself or with assistance from a friend. Same friend I want to help me with the Throttle Tamer install that is collecting dust.
As an aside, I do think they work on mowers.... the "cruiser" variety, if you know what I mean...
-
I don't think there's a dealer in a hundred miles open on Monday.

I used to have an aversion to Mondays myself, who doesn't? Retirement was the cure for that ailment! :)
-
I rode it !
I know, I know, it doesn't sound very exciting to you "southerners" but up here, we had our first really nice weekend this year, so I got it out of it's winter storage, and after jumping it off the van's battery, rode it. I put over 200km on the bike (about 120 miles) without actually going anywhere... I mean, I rode with no destination in mind... just rode.
I'm sooo glad winter's finally over... (except the weatherman says we might get some more snow on Thursday... Hope he's wrong. BDF's wishes for snow notwithstanding)
Jamie

I rode mine to COTA to watch the Moto GP race.

Yep, most of my rides are like that (not usually that long, but without a destination). I just pick a direction and go, trying to get lost. And when I do get lost (which isn't too difficult for me), I use the GPS to get home :)

+1 on this! Lately I just point the bike in a direction and ride. Last time I just went west and took two lane roads all the way to the Mississippi river. :)
