I copied it all, and pasted it into a word document....and will transcribe it into a spreadsheet....someday....when I have about a month.... ;D

any chance on finding the "How much would you pay"... posting about the extended warrentees?

I'd Like to re-do that one, and also get a final count of how many took up the offer...

thanks for helping on the old, and now new database....I'll decode the old one, and make a spreadsheet.

So, something slightly differant, when you post a comment, please include date purchased and either new or from a PO.  Lets see who the riders are and how well this bike has stood up over the miles.  Although discouraged, KiPASS comments are welcome.  Share any issues you have had with the bike, be it brakes, KiPASS, Gear Position Indicator (My issue), broken bars, burning oil, leaking final drive, or any electrical issues.  Also indicate if you did the extended warranty-I did, I had only the one issue, I figured the gremlins read about the 3 yr, unlimited mileage and were just waiting for it to expire, so I cheated them out of the chance to wreck my bike the day after 8 July of this year 8)

Well see who gets there first ;)

Black '08 ABS leftover, got it in march '09, and she gets 4 months winterised due to snow. So technically, I've only been driving her for 19 months, in which she's got 18k miles.
Issues? I keep needing refueling and tires, sometimes at an alarming rate (140 mph in the Autobahn mean some 100 miles range before the beacon perforates my cornea and the back of my skull, and the rear tire does not last more than 3-4000 miles). Other than that, just the vibration at 4k rpm that got solved by adding a 50 cents washer.
God, I like this bike!

EDIT 5th of August, 2013: bike has 45k miles. I had to get the valve cover seal changed about 7k miles ago. That's it. The fuel/tires problem has not been solved 8)

My 09 is in the 23K range.  Got it with 300 mi. on it 11-25-09.  The only engineering issues I've had are warped rotors.

The only way I could have had more miles on it is if I got another job.  Then again, I wouldn't have time to ride then.   :)

'08 ABS purchased in Aug of '07.  Problems with the rotors, other than that, nothing.

Isn't this a duplicate of http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=146.0 (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=146.0) other than the poll?

Convince me why I shouldn't merge this with the other one started by MOB (Rich)?  I'm open to convincing....maybe, possibly, beer helps.  ;)

08 ABS bought new in early Aug 2007.
40,827 miles since then and almost 18,000 in the last year.

Only problem I have had is one of the clutch friction plates disintegrated @ 37,000 miles.
When I replaced the clutch friction plates and the thrust springs I had to replace one of the steel plates as well.
Due to me being a doofus I replaced it with one that was too thin (2.3mm).
This led to more clutch slip which I finally fixed a few weeks back with a complete set of friction and steel plates (all 2.6mm).
Clutch is now great and she soldiers on. The complete set cost me around $250 which ain't bad.

I bought it new in November of 2010. Zero problems, it runs perfect and looks even better. But
now that I have a travel trailer I probably will be putting less miles on the bike now.  I don't think it has been out of the garage for about 3 weeks.   :-\ :-[

09 bought new 1/5/09.  Have exactly 25,516 miles on her now.  She's burned thru 2 sets of rotors, will be going on 3rd set soon, I'm sure.  Just put on 4th set of rubber.  I've was rearended @ 15k, $2k damage... valves, plugs, filter done @ 17k... bike has run like new since.

hmmmmmmm.....
that's why I created a thread just for documenting purchase date, place of purchase, vin number, owner name and pricing....so we wouldn't have to read about everyones tire changes, oil filters and all the other stuff....it was intended to be a factual thread/record on purchase histories... now we can weed thru tons of other stuff just to try to figure out how many were sold, and where....arggggggggggggg

not what I intended. Thanks. :( >:( :'(

Projekt D screen & hugger
V46 Top box
Stebel
Zumo 550
Oxford hotgrips
Radguard
Sheepskin seat cover
+80 bulbs

Killed 7 sets of tyres (PR2 current favourite), and 2 sets of front pads...that's about it.

A place to document your C14 and the road to ultimate farkledom.  Keep it simple.
Date purchased, model year and ABS/KTRC or non ABS
Where purchased
Last 4 of vin
Farkles with miles when added and overall impression of farkle.  Updated as things go.

This was a lengthy thread before Kirby broke into Ricks place and chewed up the powersupply.  Lets see how we do.

Kawasaki 1400GTR with ABS in Black, purchased new from John E. Vines Kawasaki in Rayleigh, Essex, UK on 5 August 2007.
Have no idea what the VIN is but they are usually different from the US structure so doubt if it'd be of any use.

Farkles are;
2000 miles - Fenda Extenda, very useful
2000 miles - Home-made ally plate rack for mounting my NonFango trunk, solid as a rock.
6000 miles - Calsci +6" screen, the best!
7000 miles - Michelin PR2s fitted, second best tyres I have ever used on a motorcycle.
8000 miles - Russell Daylong saddle, awesome all day comfort, had to sell due to unemployment :-(
10000 miles - Skidmarx hugger, good but would be better if it was a full length fender
10000 miles - GTR1000 (C10) rear pegs fitted
10000 miles - KB bar risers from Murphs (since sold)
20000 miles - Cigarette lighter socket mounted in fairing along with 4 way fuse box.
20000 miles - HF80 horns from Murphs
33000 miles - Michelin PR3s fitted. Best tyres ever!
Currently @ 48000 miles and planning on buying another Russell Daylong.

2008 Non-ABS.  Purchased new August 2007.  Currently 35K miles.

Cal Sci X-large windscreen,  Murphs risers and lowered footpegs, Audiovox cruise, Motorcycle Larry passenger peg extenders with C10 passenger pegs, Shad 46L topcase from Murph, Starcomm Intercom, Techmount GPS mount,  Rick Mayer dual leather saddle.  I run PR2's

Currently at the bike shop to get the missing #2 cylinder exhaust nuts replaced.  Too cold for me to mess with it. This is the only mechanical problem I've ever had.

SEP 2010- 2008 non-ABS with 19,000 miles traded my M109R to a Honda dealer in Marshall, TX and haven't looked back.
Already on the bike- Givi SR 410 rack and K&N air filter

OCT 2010-
Bought a cut down stock seat (didn't like it)
NOV 2010-
Murphs risers
VStream
Oxford heated grips
Grip puppies
JC Whitney style cheapo trunk with homemade LED Tail/Brake lights (worked great for almost a year)
JAN 2011-
PCV
A&R HID lights
Flyectomy
Chopped nine inches off the bazooka (worked for me until I installed the Muzzy's)
Auxillary fuse block in the glove box
Multi use guage for voltage and temperature
APR 2011-
Sargent seat
Stebel Nautilus air horn with Murphs wiring harness
Murphs Wedges (didn't care for the angle)
SEP 2011-
Givi E52 Maxia with more homemade turn/brake LEDs to replace my broken cheapo trunk
NOV 2011-
Penske 8393 shock
Muzzy ZX-14 full exhaust
Auto Tune
TechSpec tank protection
Murph's lowering pegs (didn't care for them and went back to stock)

Future-
Ohlins fork rebuild

Not really a farkle but PR2/PR3 or Angel in a size 190/55 is a great addition, I highly recommend it.

Currently have 42,000 something miles and plan on riding the wheels off of my C14.

Bought new Oct 1, 2010  09 red Concours with PR2 installed.
Oct 3-5, 2010
Fender extender, Givi 46, Phil rack, Heli Risers, modified seat, loud horn, grip puppies, pulled flies, PCV from Fuel Motto, wired GPS power, CB Tour windshield, AP slip-on, oil filter guard, radiator guard, Motorcycle Larry passenger lower foot pegs, clear protector on bags and tank, outside temp gauge, Fuze Block for heat gear. I am sure I am leaving something out that I did the first few days. Thanks to this forum I ordered the extra's the same time I got the deal on the bike. I hate adding things as I go. Buy all you can as fast as you can and enjoy the ride and not wishing you had it.
I did the same when I bought the Goldwing in 04. The only thing I added in 8 years is a trailer hitch and windshield.

2008 non-ABS C14, #...5499
Purchased 08/16/2012 from Broward Motorsports, West Palm Beach, FL used,of course.
16,100 miles with a no name slightly wider/taller windshield, two brothers exhaust and OEM bits as well.
8/27-30/2012 rode 2500 miles to Berryville, VA to visit my mother. regular saddle and no cruise, my butt and hand hate me.
09/15/2012: Found a corbin saddle on Craigslist in Hollywood, FL. My butt thanks me.
I'vereturned to the stock exhaust for quiet (I used to ride a FLHTCUI with vance and hines pipes) I don't look at that side of the bike. I've lost about 35 lbs, so the heft of the stock exhaust is kinda washed.
Now: 22,378 miles. I commute daily anywhere from 20 - 60 miles, especially in winter in FL. tried the cat o-ring, wrist sniffed mild approval. Santa can bring me a Rostra and a cee baily for Christmas.

Update to include later bikes?  Old and outdated thread that didn't anticipate being around for the newer year bikes I guess.

The ORIGINAL thread was intended to create a database of serial numbers, prices, and geographical location & associated dealers. The mileage poll was rolled in by a moderator by request, and should have remained a separate entity on it's own.

Projekt D screen & hugger
V46 Top box
Stebel
Zumo 550
Oxford hotgrips
Radguard
Sheepskin seat cover
+80 bulbs

Killed 7 sets of tyres (PR2 current favourite), and 2 sets of front pads...that's about it.

Bike now at 107,000km and going to put on another 5,000+ next month.  Been running 2 bikes for the last 4 years or so, so the Connie doesn't get all the love.  Looking forward to hit 200,000km in a few more years...
