Post by: MGvaleri on October 20, 2012, 11:56:32 PM
With this accessory handmade by me devised and applied to C14 is present on some scooter here in ITALY.
In my experience as our Moto should not miss, what do you think?

It's a parking brake so it can be on the side stand on a downhill grade.

I just wrap a velcro strap around the front brake lever and throttle.

What if you don't have velcro handy?

I don't think so, but I'm not an expert in the field of hooks and loops.  Swords and chainmail possibly, though.

Lots of hills in Italy.  San Francisco as well.  Lynchburg, VA has got some serious inclines.  Depends on your situation but I could see it being handy at times.

Aren't those sandals?  I would think they would do much better than flip flops.

Yeah I live in south Fl. and I don't own flip flops, sandles or  tank tops I wear long sleeve shirts all the time,  I respect mother SUN and my little toes.
I don't  have any Tattoos to show off. ::)
I ran track in school , I was running down the beach with out shoes on and stepped on a dead fish just under the sand , cut my big toe like a sharp knife about 3/4 inch ,  always wore some type of REAL foot protection ever since.

I kind of like the parking brake idea but putting it in 1st gear and shutting off the engine also works.

That's too easy.  We need a gadget.  MG (MacGyver) is up to the task.

I thought that was what the kickstand was for.

I must be missing something here... just put the bike in 1st gear, let the bike roll a little to take up driveline slack, and it's not going anywhere.

With center stand is not possible for you, your advice is not suitable to hold 300k, a fly at high speed buffers that the C14 if you have not MCEnterprise Guards will be pain.

:stirpot: the whole thing is a hobby, even if I do something specific to the C14. ;)

The only time my bike is ever on the center stand is when I am doing maintenance on it.

+1  Putting the bike on the CS while parking in public is asking for trouble.

True. I guess I just don't have much of a need to use the center stand on a steep downward slope.

I like it.  The only tip over I ever had involved a hill, 1st gear, warm motor and grieving mother.  I wish a flat spot always presented itself for parking, but that just at the case.  I wish I had Aunt "Velcro", but she was visiting her Nephew ;)
