Just 'rebuilt' mine. Filter was dirty compared to a new one. I only had to take it apart twice...left an o-ring out and then didn't have the fuel level thingy in the right recess. I have a 'newish' pump already in the bike and working well. This is for a spare.
This was an excellent write up. I'll post the pics of the filter and the dirt that was in the housing in a bit.
It was a bear to pry the darn thing apart and then mating the new filter with the pump was very difficult as it was tight as a tic even after fitting it a few times outside of the housing. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it works if I ever have to use it in the bike.
Pictures aren't entirely focused but you get the picture..
