Frost!
« on: September 14, 2011, 12:53:31 PM »
The weatherman is calling for frost here tonight. It's too early man!

Down to 34 tonight, sunny with a high of 63 tomorrow, nice eh Chet? Down in the upper 20's for Thurs night.

I better get that garden hose unhooked.

We have a freeze warning for most of MN tomorrow morning.  I generally don't like riding when it's below freezing, but it's been so dry lately I'm not too worried about ice or frost on the roads.  I left for work this morning with the temp about 42 F. I was glad to stop for gas and put on warmer gloves.  I haven't worn them since early May.  Tomorrow the liner is going back in the Aerostitch.

Ok, its worth a shot; I will move my bike to the other end of my garage.  I honestly dont see how that will make it any better :rotflmao:

Back to being close to 100. Expected to dip to the frigid upper 70's at night. Just one thing to say.... Quit hogging all the AC!  8)

Hey Cold Steak, we had a special weather statement yesterday and today because of the smoke from the wildfires up your way. The fires are over 400 miles away but the conditions were such that the smoke made it down here. I could smell it and see a light haze in the air.

I noticed the haze yesterday right around sundown. Thought my vision was going.

Sorry about that, I guess I burned the chicken a little bit out on the grill.  Won't happen again.

You got that right!  We had record breaking heat, NINE days straight---in the 80's,
.  Unbearable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  57 this morning, heated up to 68.  Borderline hot.  We may have some cooling rain by Friday or Sayurday.  We can only pray.  2 weeks ago when I was in E WA I awoke to frost on the table, heated up to 90!  I love mountain life, perfect for the KLR.

Guess your winterizing your bike, eh?

Meant "80's"  I'd have melted if it got upper 80's!

Moi? Heck no! At least two more months (maybe 3) of good riding 'round here. The fall is the best time to ride man! I don't put Connie up till the middle of December or so. I might have to put on my air deflectors and larger screen soon though.

Yep. 8am, 28 degrees. My local newspaper even made Drudge yesterday about the frost warning.

You are right, it is too early. I only got my c14 1 month ago.

It was 36 degrees (above) this morning in Minneapolis at 6:00 AM. I had frost on my deck by 6:45 AM. My garden is probably toast. My plastic cover blew off during the night, so it's back to buying produce.

The ride to work was great. No frost on the roads and my Gerbings under the Stich felt great. Back to normal temps tomorrow for those of us on the tundra. Lots of good riding left in Minnesota. I hope to ride the Connie to work until Thanksgiving this year.

I can feel autumn in the air, dew points are down in the 60's in mid Flowriduh. Highs around 90, lows about 70. I'll take it
