The end of an era...
« on: February 11, 2025, 06:19:15 AM »
Well folks, it's been a good run and due to medical issues I'm winding down my online presence here.  I'm going to miss the members here although it's been very quiet lately.  I'd like to say I'll be riding my Indian but I'm not sure at all if that will happen again.  Enjoy your lives to the fullest because you never know what's around the corner. :'(

Sorry to hear this but I understand fully as I've also backed away from many things since last November myself after a medical issue.

I don't know all that much of what all is involved with what you've done here but it seems to me that you've been fair and honest and have given many here a lot of leeway to express what they have wanted to say, myself included.

Good luck to you and all that you do in the future. You can still hang around here if you can.

Oh, and BTW, I still have your home address, I was supposed to send a pic of my dad and I when we were searching for his friend from the Korean War, I was just looking at it the other day.

Thanks for your effort in a thankless job. You will be missed.

Things have been very busy for us. Raising two teenagers, lots of projects. The C14 ends up taking a back seat for me.

You've been great, Jim. Good luck. I truly hope things go as well as they can.

Oh, I am sorry to hear this.  I know each year for me it gets a little harder to ride as I get older, so my time will come some day, as well.  We probably all understand.

You should certainly just check things out here every now and then for fun :)

It has been slow.  But it is also winter.  And the C14 has gone "poof", so Kawasaki doesn't even make a "real" sport touring bike anymore.  End of an era in more than one way.

Thanks for all you have done!

All the best Jim and thanks for everything over the years.
I hope your issues are manageable and at some point you get to ride the Indian again.
If you want to stay in touch, you know where to find me.

I haven’t been a member here for too long, but I just want to take a moment to say thank you for all the time, effort, and "wisdom" :) you’ve shared with this community over the years. Your presence here has meant a lot and your contributions likewise.

I’m truly sorry to hear about your medical issues, and I hope that, no matter what, you find comfort, joy, and good company in whatever comes next.

Wishing you all the best, and know that you’ll always have friends here. Ride easy, however that may look for you.

Gee Jim, sorry to read that.  I concur fully with the sentiments expressed above.

I'm 75 this year and still ride as often as caring commitments for my bride allows - and have a few health issues of my own.

You're well respected here and your regular presence and posts will be missed

Best regards

Sorry to hear this, you will be missed. I am no longer a Concours owner and no longer a daily visitor here but have remained on the forum mainly because of the many fine members here including you, Jim. Thank you for all you have done here.  Wishing you the best.

Thanks, guys.  I'll still be looking in from time to time but backing off for the most part.
