Mostly because we are at an all-time record of absence of significant rain.  Something like almost 6 weeks now.  Last record was in the year 2000, where it was 33 days.  The current forecast is calling for a little rain, maybe, in the wee-hours tomorrow morning, and then 10 more days of almost no chance of precipitation.

We finally got some rain today.  Not much, but every bit helps.

We had a lot of rain here (NOVA) yesterday and last night...
