rubber frame/seat grommet on a 93-from a noob...

help. the rubber grommet that fits on the small steel "tongue" piece attached to the frame, at the front of the seat, where the seat rests... is trashed.

wtf is this thing called? I cannot find it on the fiche of bikebandit or any other online parts resources...or maybe I am just not seeing it.

Anyway, seat is all slidy and ill-fitting and surely this is not good.

any help is most appreciated.

I did a terrible job of explaining that last night. Maybe I should not drink and post. hehehe...I will upload a pic later of what I'm after for clarification if I get a chance.

Bigger troubles at the moment....rear shock leaking and now wont hold air.

follow up on the oddball rubber grommet:

I bought this bike (`93) used and it came with an ANCIENT Corbin seat....I spoke with Corbin tech folks in the last couple days and this rubber piece I am after, which I though initially belonged to the Connie as a frame fitting, is in fact an aftermarket damper supplied by Corbin....who knew.

Looked like Kawi rubber bit to me.

Anyway, a new damper is on its way.

I'll post a pic later so that anyone who runs into a worn out Corbin with fit problems knows the rubber parts they will be after are NOT OEM stuff.
