Title: Is ce armor or similar armor re-usable?
Post by: skeet on August 31, 2011, 12:55:04 PM
Wondering if anyone knows this.
Insurance rep was asking about damage to my gear.
I know helmets are a one crash item.
How about armor in jackets and pants?
Thanks,
Wayne

If it's not ripped or torn, I would say generally, yes.

What he said. BUT if the insurance company is happy to reimburse you for some new gear . . .

I replaced a jacket of mine that I went down in with a new jacket.  The new jacket had armor and a pocket for a back protector but no back protector (they came that way, back protector was optional.)  Sales guy said "just pull the back protector out of your old jacket and use it".  Fit perfectly.

But yeah, previous point taken.

armor is in good shape no rips or tears.
As much as I like new gear, I will have to see what the adjuster says.
Thanks for the input
