Where and how did you mount you Stebel horn? Got any pictures of it?
-
Mine is mounted on the triple tree, below the inst. cluster. I used Industrial Wire ties and wrapped them around the horn and both down tubes, I use the regular horn wiring and completly removed the horns from the fairing. The horn assy. faces down and forward, and it does more then an adiquite job in getting attention.
Pics, well if I can get the camera down there, I'll try.
Hope this helps, ride safe.

I mounted my Freeway Blasters in the same general area, I used the metal strips that came with them to mount to the unused front brake splitter mount threaded holes

I must be holding my mouth wrong! Did you strip the front end to get it in there? I've tried about every place I can except the outside of the faring. I would like to mount it on the triple tree. Just need a better mind than I've got. Please send a pic if you can.

Here you go M,
It is mounted to the triple tree and it moves with the steering. No I didn't take off the fairing to do it, but I did sacrifice some skin and blood in the process.
Good luck and ride safe.

Well now, I thought I was pretty smart but couldn't figure it out. You're a better man than me. Looks like I have to "get 'er done". Thanks for the pics. I would have never believed it.

That's what we are all here for.
Watch those knuckles. :o
Ride safe all, and ATGATT.

"Got 'er done". It fit but my finger tips are gone.

Thot 1-I mounted the strebel nautilas under the seat where the rear air shock plumbing used to be. It is zip tied into a tupperware box, and then ziptied to the frame. AND:
Thot 2- strebel makes a LOUD horn (sold by Murphs) that fits right in the old horn placement... Really LOUD- esp now with both horns going.
Both run off the same separate relay...

OK, I give up. What's 'ATGATT" mean?
Inquiring minds want to know!

I seem to recall someone on the old forum split the Steibel and put the compressor portion in the fairing near the glove box and then ran a longer airline to the horn section attached to the triples/splitter area. Maybe someone else can remember the details or have done it themselves.

Well almost !!! We gots lots of light and lots of loud here; as the stock horns are still in their OE home plus these Blasters mounted down below.

That's a good idea. I like it. I like your rotors more!
Probably would have been easier than mounting the Stebel Nautilus horn.
