  FYI---Did mine this am- low needed a fair amount.  This heat wave seems to require more checks and top off.

+1  Mostly cause it is such a PITA to pull the battery.  That's why I got a sealed AGM this year.  I kept finding I had about an inch of liquid in the battery by the time I remembered to check it.  I figured after abusing it like that for 5 seasons, it was time to get a new battery just to play it safe.

If you use the "maintenance type", take a black fine tip marker and draw lines on the battery where there are no lines so you are more apt to be able to see the water level without pulling the battery.

On the C-10 I dont put the screws in the tool tray. I dont disconnect battery -just pull the battery caps.  A blue baby snot sucker is how i add and level water- when stuck in to correct depth it will fill then suck the over fill out.
Battery tender and correct water level will extend battery life IMHO
I add acid the first time I top off a new battery.
My 05 is still on the original battery. Now you know it'll die tomorrow ::)
