Title: Woman faces jury trial and up to 93 days in jail due to garden.
Post by: MiniCog on July 11, 2011, 06:43:36 AM
Mother Faces 93 Days In Jail For Vegetable Garden! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3keUTEwev-o#)

You know what though? This is good news! This must mean that ALL of the other crimes (rape, murder, robbery, etc.) have all been solved!

This country is becoming such a joke.

Public Officials can be plain stupid at times when they use the letter of the law to do things..... What about the town that was ripped apart by the resent storms and the PO will not allow FEMA trailers while the residents rebuild as the have an ordinance against trailers.

That is just ridiculous.  I mean, the people don't have a house, where do they sleep if they have a trailer?  Of course they sleep in that trailer.  Would a tent look that much better?  Who even cares, they don't have a house!

I think the folks on TV who do all the re-construction of peoples yards  (I think it's called "Curb Appeal")   should go fix her front yard into an elaborate garden for her and thumb their nose at the city council....

How freaking stupid can small government be???

Well, it appears that the city has dropped the charges,  but reinstated old charges (with the same penalties) against her.

EDIT:  Whoops meant to include this article with my post:

Georgia police shut down front yard lemonade stand. (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_ODD_LEMONADE_STAND_SHUT_DOWN?SITE=NCWIN&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT)

After reading the article, I couldn't think of anything but this:

Quote
police also didn't know how the lemonade was made
