Age I think! I aired them up a few weeks ago and moved her this AM and found it tough going, so when I checked there was 20 Pounds each end so aired them back up and got the soapy water bottle out and Bobs your mum brother..you can see some dry rot and there about $25 to replace  but I think that is my only option.

I would tighten a little if possible.  If that doesnt work you will need to replace the rubber o-rings at a minimum and maybe the whole stem.

I replaced the rubber on mine. Went to the auto parts store and bought a cheapo set of metal stems and transferred the rubbers to mine.  IIRC, the stems on my 87 are a tad smaller O.D. Than a standard car size stem. I might drill the holes slightly larger to accept a regular stem next time, if it ever needs new stems.

drilling a rim, is not an option, really....
just replace the stem, and or seals, you have to break it down anywag to do it, so do it right.... please, oh, and do not use rubber/steel assemblies, steel stem with rubber base, they are total crap, and continually fail. get the murph replacements, or gontotal straght rubber short ones..

Loni and I attended the same H.S. but at different times. My B.I.L. attended there when she did and knew her. 'Nuff said...
