Hero RNT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMbx_T_6unc#ws)
I'd own one. Built in generator? 2 wheel drive? Turbo Diesel?

Looks like you've got to be in a third world country to get one. ...Oh wait...

Kawasaki has made the KLR650 in diesel for many many years.

Sadly the KLR Diesel is being removed from the inventory. Not for sale to the public yet-first dibs is going to the installation motorcycle school programs. It won't take long before they find out the KLR isn't good for new rider instruction. Should see them on the auction block around Oct 2014. Yes, I will be in line for one, the ultimate zombie apocalypse vehicle, monster tank and 70ish+ MPG of stump pulling torque...

^^^they've been auctioned over the years, once they get so many hours they go. The engines can be had crated and running. Friend of mine put one in his KLR and has a gazillion miles on it

FWIW, I would change it dramatically, make it a big wheel, go anywhere monster. http://www.bigwheelconversion.com/ (http://www.bigwheelconversion.com/)
I happen to have a buddy who has access to a full on machine shop complete with a flow jet, he is itching to do this to a bike. Heck, I would go all the way and add a Christini kit to the mix.

These three combinations would make the ultimate two wheeled mule, leave enough clearance for chains and studded tires? All season back country ADV Bike ;D I wonder if Fox would make some Eskimo inspired dirt bike boots?

It's been done.

I want the suspension travel and besides, Rokons are so mainstream!! ;)

I would go the exact opposite way and make it a pure street bike solely on the fuel mileage and the miles you would be able to put on it. I know India makes a diesel bike and maybe a few other countries, we can't even sell diesel cars here let alone bikes.

"Ultimate zombie apocalypse vehicle". Those are my thoughts. Alot of range to get away from population zones and you don't need roads to do it. Refueling would be a bonus but it is not part of a bugout plan.

Here is another example...

I don't like the platform but the tech is interesting.

I agree, but I'd still like to hear it run.
