Very good friend of mine will be in Dallas on business on April 20 and is renting a bike from Eagle Rider for a day! Could anyone suggest a route for him in around Dallas? He's picking up his bike around noon hour on the 20th and returning it on 21st. He doesn't have to spend a night in Dallas!
Any suggestions?

Tons of good routes here...

I'd probably do this one, then have some decent BBQ after I was done. 8)

I live in Gordon and have riden much of the second route many a time. Here's my offering.
From Dallas/Fort Worth, take I-30/I-20 towards Weatherford (the beat-down part of the trip), then Hwy 180 through downtown Weatherford and on through Mineral Wells to Palo Pinto.
Just past the courthouse, turn left/south on Hwy 4 to Lone Camp.
Turn right on FMxxxx(?) across the causeway of Lake Palo Pinto, over to FM919. Turn left and go to Gordon, then right again after the railroad tracks on Hwy 108, over through Mingus to Strawn.
At the center of town (stop sign) take a left, right, left across the railroad tracks and stop and eat at Mary's Cafe. Order a small or medium Chicken Fried Steak (warning, don't order a large unless you haven't eaten in a couple of days and don't plan on eating for the next couple).
Continue south to I-20, turn left and head east back towards DFW to the Santo exit (Hwy 4 again, exit 380). Turn right and follow Hwy 4 to Granbury.
Then, either take 377 back to Fort Worth, or 51 back to Weatherford.
There are many other little roads that go all over that area, but this would give him a pretty good day trip. This is just one option.
From downtown Dallas back to Dallas (via 377 north from Granbury) is about a 250 mile trip.
