It better ride better than the 2011classic that i rode last year. I think i could have peddled it faster than that 500cc engine could go. Total POS.
-
I see Ohlins. 8)

I've never ridden an Enfield but I do have a Brit twin. Its not an inline 4 with over 100HP and its not Japanese. Totally different bike, designed in the 50's and updated for the 21st century. Every article I've read about them say about that. Could you have gotten one that wasn't running right?
-
I'm keeping mine.
-
Yeah, I'm keeping mine too but that Enfield just looks so nice.

Or, you can build one of these from Ryca for about $2500 plus the cost of an old Suzuki Savage.

The guys at the dealership said it was in perfect running order after I told them I rode a 125cc scooter with more power.

27 HP isn't gonna get you anywhere fast, but your gonna have fun doing it on the right roads on that bike and its gonna look good too. I think thats their main thrust of the bike, retro looks. I'm sure the aftermarket guys are already making upgrade kits.
-
I had more fun with 27 hp than anybody has right too on a 2fiddy ninjette.
Wouldn't want to cross the continent on one, but like your own mini GP never exceeding 70 mph ripping round the hood. ;D
Love the looks of the Enfield, not at the price point. :'(

If I had space in the shed... The bare bones model looks kewl!
Weird 18" tires though, and finding 'shoes' for the rear drum brakes may be a chore in a few years. Like I ever use the rear brake though...

Don't have one but this is cool, M-G V7 Racer. Pretty weak motor for something called "Racer".
-
I wish I still had my 1996 Triumph Trident for short trips around here. The styling was awesome. It even had a 6.6 gallon gas tank. Tons of power for a 900.
-
Spares for the Enfields are cheap and plentiful.
They are still made BRAND NEW in India so there are lots of new spares on Fleabay.

The new ones are fuel injected and have electronic ignition so technically are more advanced than the C10. <LOL>
I can see the appeal of a Cafe Racer but not one with 27Bhp.
I am rebuilding a 1981 CB250N Superdream (Nighthawk?) for my brother-in-sin, and that had 27Bhp when new but being a twin it delivers it a bit better.
Still gutless though!

Anybody see what they want to charge for the Enfield cafe? I can't find the price anywhere.

Given the >5k for the classic, way too much. Do yourself a favor, you want a fun bike? Get a 2011-2013 N1K.
