Appropriate six point socket and a long breaker bar.  I had an assistant sit on it and hold the rear brake while in gear.  Not the best way but it worked fine.  If you KEEP the bike on the side stand you don't have to drain the oil while you do the job.  Account for all the pieces before you close it up.  I used Yamabond with no gasket on the cover.  There is a thread going on discussing a tool you can make or buy on the forum right now.

I will make a tool next time, if needed.  When I did it I used an impact wrench, testing the diff gun settings on my truck lug nuts and seeing what the torque wrench said the torque was (approx for sure).

Then I used the closest setting to tighten the clutch nut.

You may find a socket to borrow at the auto parts store.

You may also cross ref it to an SAE size because it may be close enough. I believe 1 1/16 is the size I used but not 100% sure.

Harbor freight has some very large wrenches, metric, for about $40.  Not sure if the size you need is in the kit.  I just took my kit back because the wrenches were too wide for my ATV application.

I believe I used a 1-3/8", as it seemed to fit a bit tighter onthat tiny nut section, also try to find one without a huge chamfered "mouth", I took the one I had and ground the face of it back about 1/8" to remove most of the chamfer. it provides a much more reliable fit.
