It's a beautiful bike. That V7 is nice too. Is it a 250?

40 horsepower out of a 750 is pretty bad.

Even the 883 has about 55, I think.

How much power do ya want on an entry level bike?
The reviews say it's plenty. The engine is basically the same engines (small block) from the 70s.

I spent some time on a 1000sp.   It is a whole different feeling ride.  There is no such thing as "winding it out".  It is not a twin cam Kawasaki.   When you twist the grip, the tach looks like not much is happening, but the speedometer adds speed anyway.   The Horse power numbers are pretty low, but the bike does not feel as bad as the numbers sound.  The Torque curve starts to get fat at just above idle.

The SP (and variants) is a whole nuther bike than the new V7. The SP is the big block, two valve, 950 cc engine.
The torque peak on that mill is about 5600 rpm.
You don't run them at 2k rpm. They ain't no Harley.
